Talking can i use normal silicon?

hi everyone,just woundering if i can use normal silicon to seal the joins on my snakes vivarium or does it have to be aquarium silicon?plus how long will i have to wait before i put my snakes back in?i know some of u mite say i should of done it before i put a snake in it but lets call it begginers stupidity.lol

i think the aquarium stuff is safer - but they all need at least 24 hours ventilation time before your snake gets anywhere near it - use ya nose, if you can smell it, don't put them back - thats my tuppence anyway!

please just take into account the safety warnings on the back of the labels - ask at ure local aquatics centre - the likes of BnQ tend to be clueless

I would use aquarium silicone despite it being a little more expensive, I made a unit for my Amazon Milk Frogs with it.

Can't quite remember but I think the viv had to be aired for at least 72 hours, it should say on the neck of the tube.

you can use normal sealent but you have to read the back lable because some of the normal sealent have anti-mould thats what so nasty about it and i would give sealent at least a week. even tho i have said this i still use aquaium sealent. just peace of mind

looks like im gonna be gettin some aquarium silicon.i dont mind the fact that its more expensive,its just that ive got loads of the normal stuff.
