Default Remind me NEVER...

....to decide to build a fake background for the bottom viv of a stack (each viv 4x2x2) and decide to paint the celing of said viv! The whole thing has been such a pain! Got grout everywhere, paint everywhere etc etc. And its still not finishd as it causes me physical pain each time i have to work on it! I think i should get an award for being so rediculasly stupid for thinking it was 1 a good plan and that 2 it would be as easy as the first fake rock build i did! Also I will never use B&Q quickdry grout ever again as that stuff was !

Expanding foam is a pain in the butt too! had to use that to fill in some gaps in the polysterene and it went everywhere! I ran out of pain so ive had to stop for tonight but its made me feel really dizzy! lying on my back half in the viv painting the celing is not fun! Especially since there is a front pannel of wood across the from that is about 6inches high digging into my back! the things we do for our reptiles!

Nope not grouting the roof, painting it to look like the sky! (mostly because i managed to get grout everywhere so i needed to cover it up slightly!) I have also discovered that paint doesnt like aquarium sealent! so it looks slightly shocking currently! I wish i could have made the whole thing removable but decause of the way i built the viv i couldnt make a removable background! Will be so happy once this one is done, tho i probably wont be happy with it!

I didn't use grout for my background, i used expanding foam instead, it's easy to remove if it gets everywhere, just try not to get any in your hair LOL!Never used grout before.
