where have you placed ur thermostat?

As it says in the title really, i am putting together new tanks for all my animals and was wondering where abouts in the tanks you put your thermostats - would you put it in the cooler part of the tank or under the basking area?

what animals?

you can't put it in the hot end if you need over 92f so you need to put it in the cool end.

lol sorry its for beardies - am i right in thinking most thermostats wont go up to the hottest temp beardies need so i should put it in the cooler?
