nice to see a care sheet on chuckwallas...

in my experience, chuckwallas go through colour phases, and none of mine particularly like anything yellow! and wont touch kiwi lol (but they do all have their own prefrences)
mine prefer dark orange to red foods, especially figs (managed to get a v.skittish chuck totaly hand tame from hand feeding figs).

Also, my first chuckwalla was LTC who had MTB when I got her.
The vet amputated her toe because it was so swollen, and was starting to affect her. She has been back to health (well as well as she can be) for some years now, but unfortunately has a kinky tail as a result of it. Anyhow, I have an X-ray pic of her, and it shows the kinky tail, and amutated toe!
Will dig it out and post it, is very interesting! (for me anyway)

Also, purchased a trio of chucks a few yrs ago A few wks after having them, noticed one of them had a swollen belly. First thought it was gravid... but obviously showedd no signs of being gravid, apart from swollen belly.
Took it to the vets to discover it was a bladder stone. This bladder stone turned out to be a third of its body weight!!
Took the chuck to a vet, mr.chitty who done an amazing job of removing the stone, and chuckwalla is back to 100% health! Also, turns out to be a male chuckwalla lol, not the usual black bodied colourations of a male.
Pics posted below of the bladder stone, and the chuck from which it came from;

(bladder stone is next to a pound coin)

And the male chuck
