they love to climb so a vertical viv suits them better, plenty of leafy cover, daytime temp around 80, basking spot around 100 (ours never basked) humidity 60% (mist every morning and evening or you wont keep this, kept ours on coco husk np, love crickets,waxworms and small locusts kept to in a 450x450x600 exoterra viv and they had acres of room, whatever you do give them plenty of places to climb

I have a dwarf sungazer and had her for about 3 years now and she hates being handled, I keep her on the exoterra clay stuff that you make tunnels with and here basking is about 100f and cool end around 80. She is in a 2 ft viv and shes got loadsa hding places and ridges she can scuttle under. Ive read that they wedge themselves into rock cracks to escape predators.

i have a sungazer rescued him from a women who had him in a tiny tank no heat or light i soon put that right with help from people on forums
and i never see him unless he comes out for a bask been looking for a friend for him but they don't come up very often. his temp are the same as above and he prefers mealworms. |
