I've kept these for many many years so cn offer you alot of info. PM if you want more details then i state below.

These are a nocternal gecko so do not require UV. i have found however, that they do well with a basking spot kept at 33 degrees. This is my personal choice, but many others keep them on just a heat mat. Personally i have found the best temperatures to be a hot end of between 28 - 30 with a cool end of 24-25. This is with a drop to 22 celcious at night.

Mixed males and females can be kept succesfully together. There will be a pecking order with regard to the males in the goups, with one always being dominated. But once a pecking order is worked out they all get along fine.

These are one of the few geckos that need a deep sand based substrate. They need about 3-4 inches deep. The reason is that they spend most of their tie digging tunnels and caves in it. This is also needed for breading, females will only lay in a deep burrow, and can become egg bound if this isn't available.

I think i have covered everything, but i am only popping on quickly. Pm if you want any more specific advice.

I take it the care for S.Petrii's is the same as S.Sthenosdactylus?

There care for all steno species is simular so the same care sheet works for all of them.
