Default Bosc Care Basics

Ambient Temp 85F

Hot End 95F

Basking spot 120-130F

Humidity 60% Yes 60 in the wild they spent a lot of time in burrows and termite mounds

Diet: Controversy over this subject but personally insects should be fed to make up around 80% of its diet in my opinion
a rodent should only be fed once a week to a young bosc I personally have reduced this in my oldest sav to once every two weeks

Inverts:
Locusts
Morio worms
Crickets (while young most boscs stop taking these after a while)
Cockroaches
Snails
And any other inverts you can think off

Vertebrates should NOT be fed as a staple due to there high fat content
Mice
Rats
Gerbils
Chicks
Ducklings
Turkey mince wit vits/minerals added
Lean cuts of meat
Monitor Meatloaf: Recipe is on the main lizard forum

What Not to feed:
cat food/dog food
Sausages/burgers/meats with high fat content

Watch your savs weight as it ages for the first 18months or so everything you feed your sav is going into growth after that it slows down an awful lot and your bosc runs the risk of getting obese so watch your savs weight.

Addition Adult boscs in the wild eat a large number of GALS so i would heavily recommend starting a colony of GALS (Easy to breed easy to look after) juveniles may struggle to greak there shells so only feed v. young ones to juveniles until they reach maturity.
