Hey Gecko82,
Captive care of Phelsuma standingi is almost identical to that of Phelsuma m.grandis (the Madagascan giant day gecko). I have attached a link to a care sheet on our website. Hope this helps. Care Sheets Andy |

This is not true, phelsuma standingi come from an arid region of madagascar and high humidity can kill them. In terms of heat, diet and tank size this is the same as grandis phelsumaweb.nl - The Captive Care and Breeding of Phelsuma standingi

Whilst in some ways my original statement was quite general, I would say that I don't say it IS identical. As for humidity, again you are correct they do come from a more arid environment, however as a keeper I prefer to keep mine more humid than many care sheets recommend. As for suggesting that high humidity can kill them, then I would challenge you to both qualify and quantify this quite bold statement. I suspect that you will find that many care sheets vary on this topic, they are only a single keepers account of husbandry after all.
This is my care sheet. Care Sheets Regards, Andy Last edited by GlasgowGecko; 23-06-2009 at 10:41 AM.. |
