This is really really helpful!

I think my female beardie is starting brumation (all her behavoural changes point to this).

But she is only a juvinile (about 4months old). Do I need to do or change anything for her? Or just keep heat/light the same and keep offering her food?

With beardies you should dust there food with pure calcium 5 days a week and then dust there food with calcium plus d3 (nutrobal) the other 2 days.

This was soooo helpful.
Thanks so much.

We've got a baby beardie 8 wks old, told by pet shop he's a good eater of his greens, which we've seen already. Loves his salad and carrots, still unsure of apple. But he's tried it.

What i'm unsure of though, is when we're feeding him locusts, how many a day is best?

Thanks
Kat.

Default Conflicting Advice

Hi, we have recently bought a pair of small Beardies (about 3 months old)...Before buying our Beardies we made sure our viv was all set up, correct temps etc. We also bought a book - "Bearded Dragons Understanding and caring for your pet" Written by Lance Jepson. The book seems really good and we have been using it loads. Just looked on here on the care sheet, followed the link about Beardie nutrition and some of the information conflicts with what my book is saying. Just wanted to know if someone could give me a relible list of foods that can be given to my Beardies or should I just follow that chart??

Thanks,

Beth
