we have a special agreement with the Currier that means that the animal will not be left in transit for more than 4 hours and if you think about it when we all go down to the doncaster reptile show many people travel from London and else where with no heat available for hours and hours we make sure that our reptiles all leave with heat packs in big polystyrene boxes raped well up making sure they are looked after in the best possible way also most reptiles in this country are imported from abroad in planes and are left in transit for more than 48 hours sometimes so i honestly think we are not giving a bad service and are certainly not endangering the reptile in any way and we care to much for these guys to hurt them in any way

Surely though if delivering within this area people would just collect I simply wouldnt offer the service at the expense of losing those few sales.

i think what he means is that the deliver themselves to local areas for people that cant get there, is that right? they dont take them to the post office in a box lol!!

from what yu written it appears u put them in a tub, then in a large box with heat pads.

Personally I dont think posting reptiles is a nice way of transporting them and yeah they get transported on planes and as u state rep shows ppl travel a long way but then its the buyer taking the risk and most are in a secure box alongside the buyer whether this be in a car, train etc!

Personally a box left in the care of the postal service could go anywhere before it actually gets to the buyer and also they may tell you within 4 hours but doesnt nessecarily mean 4 hours does it, what if this package gets lost and the poor rep dies then who is responsible? You also say within 4 hours how are you going to deliver to the opposite end of the country which is 7hrs away in 4 hours?

I personally think u need to reconsider how u deliver reps without the need of the postal service, a large breeder has already been slated for doing this and lost a considerable amount of buyers and trade and what you are doing is no better! I really dont think u have thought this through. The only courier service that can courier legaly is TNT and they are not letting anyone set up new accounts also they are not the best or reliable, ppl have started using a new courier which is jm aquatics? they charge around £35 per order not rep and they are picked up and 90% of the time are delivered within the same day if thats not possible wherever the ppl are staying they take the reps into the hotel with them.

Why offer this service to boost ur sales when the animals best interests are not at heart, why not just offer local personal delivery or collection as any other rep shop does!

I really cant see why any rep shop needs to post whatsoever other than just merely to increase sales.

Theres so many rep shops about and all buying from pretty much same lists why do it.

As for transporting when being imported they are licensed and regularly checked and if found wrong confiscated.

Mailing them is just totally wrong, as I said above I wont be coming to your shop now, shame as i would have been interested in Pygmy Chams.

to tell the truth we have yet not posted any reps thought our Currier and have always persuaded people to come down to the shop instead and will always continue to do this but we will take into consideration what has been said and will make a review of the Currier service and may withdraw this

if you have found a legal courier for £3.95 then please share with us as we would all prob use them at that price better than the £35+ we are paying now

Why not come down to the shop and see how well all of the animals are looked after and make your judgments then

no need to go all defensive, not once has ur husbandry been questioned.

Even though I know for certain you have two fully grown male crested geckos housed together??

The questions have been asked regarding how you courier your animals, Im sorry but a reputable reptile courier can't charge £3.95 same day delivery and the question still remains of how you courier your reptiles as in every post you have made on this thread you have avoided this question.

I think instead of trying to make yourself feel better you need to reassure myself and everyone else that you transport your reptiles in an adaquate manner as from this thread already you have lost myself and nic-b-c as potentisl customers who are from the north east!

Its ok bigging yourself up on your website but if your not prepared to answer the questions thrown at you and go defensive then its all to no avail really isn't it!
