Default Operation sticky foots (spot your crestie!)

Here are some of the cresties that are leaving tomorrow as part of the crestie run organized by Lynn (Sparkle). I had the utter joy of photographing and interacting with these amazing geckos. Some of these are the most beautiful cresties I have ever seen and I bet none of you guys who are in on the run will be disapointed. I am not 100% sure on the morphs so try to spot your crestie!

Yellow/orange phase

Creamsicle male. This guy stole my heart, apparently they are the most saught after crestie morph and I can see why.

Harly/tiger

Cream harly

Cream harly and something else...?

Dalmation

Cream something or other

its pretty easy once you know what to look for, the majority of those guys are harlequins or flames, dalmations and a couple of tigers! not too hard really. The only place it gets difficult is when people try putting fancy labels on things because when a definition is down to colouration its so subjective! Like personally, i wouldnt call that a creamsicle, from those pics anyway because it is too red. A creamsicle needs to be bright yellowy orange and v.light cream, but i would call that more of a orange/harlequin which is another 'sought after' morph! so its swings and roundadbouts! lol

awwwww

creamsicles are the most debated morph right now..

everyones sick of the hair splitting... even on the pangea website they say they cant be bothered with it and thats a TOP breeder LOL

heres the quote from pangea...

Creamsicles
Now here is a morph that stirs up a lot of controversy among hobbyists. It seems that everybody gets all up in arms because breeders will call a particualr gecko a Creamsicle when it's colors do not match an actual creamsicle popsicle. It is a silly controversy, since in the first place, crested geckos will change color throughout the course of a day, so having a gecko that matches a creamsicle popsicle all the time is absolutely, positively, impossible.

The definining characteristic of this morph is the Cream colored dorsal flame pattern. The side coloration can be any shade of Orange, Reddish Orange, Yellowish orange, etc. The most desirable color combination has proven to be the Reddish Orange and Cream.

.................................................. .................................................

I have a male whos reddish orangey and cream... does that make him a creamsicle in everyones eyes.. probably not..

i dont actually care LOL

see the pangea quote above... seems too many of us are falling into the splitting hair category.. personalyl was the right word to use..

personally ive seen sellers say.. BEST CRESTIE IN UK... when obviously its not.. they stick an extortionate price tag on it and i feel buyers are ripped off..

thats why in this sale i priced 4 categories

single colour male £80
single colour female £100
morph male £100
mirph female £125

no matter how mazing a morph it was super dalmation or extrme harely... you paid one fo those 4 pirce tiers..

the creamsicle male.. you are debating here changes colour of course all through the day.. so its impossible to tel from one pic what hes liek at those stages... sometimes hes palest cream all over.. he isnt red ( sadly) but if he was he would be a PANGEA reptile breeders dream.. as thats what they are concentrating on as their creamsicle project...
ive seen some females go for way too much and they werent half as nice... ive even seen sellers say the crestie they are selling is the best in the UK.. which is nonsense as many crestie collectors arent onthe net so how would people know that..

i know 2 people who never use the internet and between them they have 150 imported cresties from various sources in america...

trust me THEY really do have some of the best

creamsicles to me are orangey reddish of any shade with cream..

but yeah im not a professional breeder like pangea.. JUST agree with their statement... maybe Pangea ar wrong
