Nice equipment macrojunkie, was just checking out your DArt too, amazing stuff.

I've a 400d DSLR too but nothing to fancy beyond that. That Sigma lens and a Canon Speedlite 580EX Mrk II. Would love a twin-macro set though, specially for things like this.

Look forward to seeing more of your shots!

yer 400d does the job..so will the 580ex if u get a bracket/all tho some guys on canon forum are getting good reults just with lumerqest softbox attached to the 580ex.is the sigma lens a macro lens?

It is, yes. The Sigma 50mm, 1:2.8 Macro.

I've a soft defuser already, in place of a flashgun softbox but is there vast improvement with a softbox?
...I also have two Interfit Super Cool-lite studio lights, however, a bit impractical for lugging about with me and rarely use them as it is. Might sell those and put towards something of more use to me.
