Blackrock Bathtime Fun !!

The Blackrocks were due their bath today, so we decided to get some pics, since a number of people on here always express interest in them.

First, they were (rather grudgingly) transferred into a couple of inches of nice warm water ..



After a few attempts to take off or levitate (which would really require a video clip to illustrate), they settle down and start to enjoy the water.



Sure, their faces may not express very well that they're entirely enjoying themselves, but they have a perma-grumpy expression anyway, and they're more than capable of letting you know when they're NOT enjoying something, so the fact that the photo isn't blurred and they're not trying to attack the camera is good evidence that THEY LIKE IT !!



And while the kids splash and play water polo, Daddy scrubs out the viv and gets everything shiny and clean ..



So they can bask and dry off, and enjoy their nice clean home.

Notice again the perma-grumpy expression, and I WILL KILL AND EAT YOU staring eye.



And of course, what they're really thinking is .. "Yuk, this place doesn't smell or look right at all. We'd better hurry up and make it stinky and grubby again as soon as possible"

Wow where did you get the viv.

Back when we were absolute beginners we bought it "reduced to clear" from a reptile shop we visited, because we thought it looked nice, and would suit our new baby beardie when he grew up. If I'd known then what I know now, we would have bought 10 of them. It's far and away the best viv we own, and I wish we had more. It's an Atasuki, and I think they're still making vivs, but I haven't seen one like this since.
