Default King's Rock Monitor's - Varanus Kingorum -Laid!!!

Well good news female laid this morning.... noticed on monday she was like a pear and acting unsually, the male was also out more and exhibiting behavioural abnormalities. On wed, I noticed she had started digging, and formed a burrow. This morning she was hidden in the burrow, so elected to pull her out. Sure enough she had laid. Finding the eggs was not easy due to the size of the nesting site. But eventually found 3 viable eggs at around 20mm. I cannot believe the speed this species reproduces. I expect more eggs in around 35 days!!

We are well chuffed as there isnt many of these about and we have only had them for around 4wks and I tell you what.......you try and find an unrelated pair! The female is an 05 and the male an 06, and with the right temperatures and conditions, bang! off they went straight away!
Yes we are the people with the beardies, we have many other reps as well. The Fiji's are gravid as well............so keep you updated on them

Good luck. You have some very nice eggs cooking at the moment. If you could just send one of each down to me once they've hatched...
