Default Surprise...

On the first of May our leachianus female layed one egg, this one was infertile. 26 days later, on the 26th of May, she layed another sinlge egg. So we assumed it was the second egg of the clutch, but with a 26 days interval.
About a week or 2 ago we noticed that the egg was very full when we candled the egg and were joking that we would have a leachie hatchling soon.
Last night we took a look at the eggs, cause we were waiting for some ciliatus to hatch, but to our surprise we found a little leachie J.
We only incubated it for 70 days… This made us think, is it possible that the eggs developed inside the female? That she was supposed to lay the egg on the 1th of May, but since she “kept” it till the 26th, she let the egg develop inside her?
Maybe this is wrong thinking, but we thought that 70 days was just too early, even though the “little” one has got a good shape and is a full grown leachie hatchling as far as we can tell…
We incubate our eggs at fluctuating temps from 19-26 degrees Celcius (66,2F – 78,8F).
Anyway, we like to hear everyone’s thoughts about this.
Here are some pictures of the little one.

Thanks all!!
We also love their Blubber-looks... We almost named this one "Turd"..
It is indeed the "big gecko species".
This one should become about 38 cm. There are bigger types though, like the leachianus type c.. That type is worth a lot of money and gets up to 43 cm.
Our type is not way expensive, but not cheap either...
