cool. Its interesting to see its size compared to a beardie.
Iv had experience with bigger lizards, but for some reason (probs childhood horrors lol) im always on edge with animals that are a bit bigger. Also, I dont liek handling adult beardies as my hands are a bit small and i always feel im not supporting their underside properly. I dont mind younger beardies, but as much as i like all lizards, i dont enjoy handling bigger ones.
It wouldnt be fair for me to get anything bigger than the rankins as i wouldnt want to handle it as much.

Can you let adult rankins' out to run around? Or do ppl find they are a bit small?
xx

I got it from Homebase. It's Cotswold rockery stone... they only cost £3.99 each regardless of the size of the piece. And there were some biiiig pieces of rock there... like 2ft long. I live in Swindon in Wiltshire which might be why my Homebase has Cotswold stone as it's local stone, don't know if all Homebase stores stock it, but it's worth a look!

Awww I love Ripper's Hollywood smile.
Took some more piccies of my babies yesterday. Got one of them in mealie tubs too while I was removing uneaten crickets from their tank. Only trouble with the rock in their tank is that bugs like to hide under it. This one *really* shows how small they are...

Wow. They are all so gorgeous!
They have such beautiful eyes. I love how they always look like they're smiling, thats why i got interested in leos and cresties. I like happy looking animals

Do you guys think a 18x32x19" tank would be ok? I plan to add in a fake background with xtra levels and basking spot etc. Also a lil swimming pool
I read that this was the minimum floor space for one and i have this tank spare. Think it would be ok once id modified it?

That size sounds fine to me. Our 1.3 are in a 3x2x2ft with climbing space

I'll just keep this tank then instead of buying a new one.

They do look quite smiley, it's sweet. Particularly when they gape during basking. Though they have a way of looking up at you with a slightly mean look in their eyes lol. I believe I've seen beardie people on forums call it the 'stink eye'!
