Lightbulb Post Pics of your Rankins' please :)

Hi
I'd love a beardie but Iv have enough experience with different reps now to know that Im not that great around some of the bigger animals. I love my leos and dont mind younger beardies at all, but past that size, i start to have flash backs to when i cousins beardie jumped at me when i was only 10 lol.
I love the personality of beardies but would like something a little smaller than their adutl size so Iv settled on the idea of a rankins dragon. This wont be happening to well in the future lol, but i like to prepare.

Despite having the mesurements written down Im still struggling to get the rankins to fit to scale in my head, like compared to my hand or something.

So, I would love it if everyone with rankins dragons could post pics here so i can see what size they are, preferably with something else in the pic so that i can guage their size if you know what i mean.

Also if u could put what age it is, im hoping to get a clear idea in my head of what size it will be from a few weeks to fully grown

Cheers everybody

I just got a couple of seriously cute baby Rankins from James_and_Hana yesterday and I wubs them!
I haven't taken any pics of them yet, which is unusual for me! I need to charge my camera batteries and take some photos. Will have a go tomorrow when they are awake.

I'd also be interested in seeing some piccies of everyones Rankins... get posting, people!

Just uploaded some pictures of my two baby rankins (Pancake and Waffles) to an album on here.

Here they are in their 2ft tank. Their water pool is a margarine tub and their veggie bowl is made from an old Calypso calcium tub, to give you an idea of scale.

And that's a Habistat thermostat probe next to Pancake there... so you can see how teeny he is

Hey, he's gorgeous.
Dont suppose uv got any pics with something else in the pic for scale.
Dunno why, but i can never find pics of adults with a person in the picture too.
Iv got a spare tank u see and while the messurements are technicaly suitable, id still like an idea of how big they get. I like my nanimals to have space to run around

I dont have piccies but have seen rankins and they are super cute!! Great if you dont have room for a beardie viv. However if you do then maybe try and get some more experience with beardies as im sure you will grow to love them and just had a bad experience.
I am a leo fan like you and all my leos are super tame but our beardie is just one step infront of them, he really interacts with both me and my OH and craves our attention and time. He is the only reptile we have that my OH really has time for.
Plus at the size they get to you can let them wander around a little without loosing them, and they come in amazing colours now-a-days (thats makes me sound old doesnt it). xx
