Default Quess the species...

Just imported a 2.2 of these this week... Can anyone guess the species??? Here is a hint...
They were imported one other time in the US back in the early 90's and they died shortly after and sadly, never reproduced... They have never been kept in captivity since in the US... There are no captives of this species in all of Europe and the ones we have are the only of its kind in the US...







Keep in mind that these are fresh imports and they are wild looking, ugly and dirty lol, but they are all eating great... I will update photos as they progress...

We will captive breed this species for certain...

It's some form of monitor lizard... but that is the extent of my deductions :P Perhaps a Bengal Monitor?

Are these adults, what I mean is that their adult colouring and pattern, I thought they might be Varanus olivaceus (grays monitor) but I am put off with the spots?
