Default chameleon housing

hi, just a quick on!! I'm seriously considering getting a chameleon anytime soon and as I have always done and as I feel should be done, I have been doing as much reading and research as possible before committing!!

thing is...............what size tank/viv would I need for one yeme/veiled chameleon bto last its entire life?!

have read so many caresheets and found out that people use so many different sizes!! can anyone enlighten me at all as to what size I should be looking at for one single chameleon?!

also would a yemen/veiled be a good choice for a first time chameleon?!

thanks in advance

Yes a yemen is a fairly good choice for your first chameleon.

regarding housing i would recomment the 60-100gallon flexarium

I'm guessing if I have the room and space for it, the 100gallon one would be the better choice then?!

would either of those do for one for it's entire life?!

Yes they would "do" for all its life, but obviously the 100gallon would be better, as your cham would have alot more things to do, more hiding places, less stress etc...

Not that many caresheets - and some that are present on the web make me shudder! Was checking up on uv etc (replacing my strips this month) and found one that recommended a 2 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot for an adult yemen! needless to say, i chose to ignore the uv recommendations from that sheet!
