When ive had them in the past ive kept them really hot with a deep substrate and sprayed their tunnels to keep them humid.Food wise, mixed leafy veg, crickets, waxworms.I found wc quite difficult to establish, but once settled really nice lizards.Id get them wormed if i were you.

Ive had my butterfly agama for just over a year now. When i first got her she was not in the best condition

Once she got settled in she developed some nice colourings and put on weight

I find that they are not the most active of lizards mine seems to sleep most of the day and also as they dig a lot they are very prone to loosing toes mine has lost all the toes of both front feet.

I would be interested to see pics of the setups you have created!

Hope the butterfly agamas do well, I know of a few that havent, its good to hear some people are managing to keep them alive and well in captivity.

The only English-language books I know on them are both TFH: Uromastyx and Butterfly Lizards by Jerry Walls and Agamid Lizards by Manthey and Schuster. Walls offers the more comprehensive overview.

I know TFH books had a bit of a mixed reputation, but these two are quite good.
