My beardie is exactly the same, he's almost 12 months and turns his nose up at anything that doesn't have legs.

What i do is once a week shred up his veg really really tiny, put some mealworms in a deep bowl and cover them with the shredded veg, that way when he eats the mealies he gets a mouth full of veg too (which he hates but he loves mealworms enough to put up with it) and i gutload the feeder insects with all the fresh stuff he should be eating for 24hrs before putting them in his viv.

I also hand feed fruit a couple of times a week and watered down baby food at the weekends (i try to avoid the ones with dairy, rice or carrots in them which doesn't leave alot of choice!)

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that as he matures he starts to eat more veg of his own accord.

Bananas are really high in phosphorus, they should only be fed really rarely (once a month at most)

I use that for spike, he loves it, but don't overdo it coz dragon squits are disgusting!

Also not very good for dragon to have runny poo as can dehydrate rapidly - i give spike about 1ml from a syringe once a week - i also use the chicken and squash hipp baby food - 2ml twice per week.

Fruits (or fruit-based baby foods) aren't ideal for them; they are too high in sugars, and too low in other things.

Most beardies will nibble on green leaves if they are in the cage. For some inexplicable reason, beardies are more attracted to large piles of food than scattered leaves in a dish.

At 8 months I wouldn't worry about it too much - keep a dish of greens in with him all the time, so he can nibble on them if he gets hungry.

Once he's around a year old, maybe stop one or two of his livefood feedings each week. This will make him a bit hungrier and more likely to eat greens rather than wait for livefood. When he's 18 months, reduce the size of his livefood portions, and only feed him every 2-3 days; ideally he should be eating 75% greens, and only 25% livefood. Try using different types of green leaves (watercress, spring greens and butternut squash all seem to go down well) - see if he likes any of those.
