urban geckos so overpriced

been in my local reptile shop today and theve got loads of urban gecko bred geckos in they want 400quid for a 5star sunglow which looks like a normal sunglow to me, there snows 3star start at 125 and go up to 525 for 5star, iand the 3stars look like normal mac snows just noticed how expensive they are what a rip off they aint that great they also got super hypos for about 175 apparanty 5star and mines 10times nicer just wanted to rant as i wasted my time going there intead of coldblooded dont rate it at all wish i went coldblooded instead by the time i got there i couldnt get to coldblooded in time.

dont panic mate. Rainham village fair was on, it was well busy, I had a nightmare getting parked and then they didnt have what i needed in stock

arent the urban geckos the ones where they were a fortune for baby unsexed cresties too...

UrbanGecko sell on their site reasonabley cheap but then you have shops putting on a fair wack of profit at the moment. Your paying for quality.

They are nice animals but arent worth the sort of money shops over here are charging for them. However the shop is only trying to do business like everyone else. They have to pay for the animal, pay for the shipping, pay any customs charges and then feed and house the animal until it sells. Importing animals to sell on isnt a cheap process by any means.

And when you consider that a standard livestock mark up is 100% then of course imported animals are going to be expensive.
