Default butternut squash to cook or not to cook ?

hi have never ate this myself and have got some for my baby beardie can it be given raw or do i need to cook it also what other fruit can i offer and does all veg need to be cooked or raw ?

I've always finely grated my butternet squash, it's pretty hard, so if not grated I would think you might want to boil it?

yep just make sure its nice and small. cooking takes away some of the goodness.

It's delicious!

Chop it in half lengthways, scrape out the stringy flesh and seeds, put some 1" sq. shallow cuts along the inside of it, then use a mixture of raw garlic and butter to coat the inside of both halves, and put a generous amount in the cavern that you created by scraping out the seeds. Put the two halves back together, wrap in tin foil (shiny side IN), and either put in an oven or bury in embers for an hour or two... It goes well with most things...
