glad my frilly smart enough 2 spit it out, i always monitor him when feeding and i always put sticky food in his bowl or on a branch so he doesnt eat the repti-bark.

thats really quite shocking isnt it. hope you dont mind but i have copied the link into shelled section as substrate is very hotly and regularly debated there.

im glad so many people have looked, and hopefully some people have changed their ideas from looking at this..

and poizon, i aggree im sure trex and such like are making monyey out of it... bloomign awful in my opinion...

wow that was really nasty!!!!!
we have bark chippings fopr the snakes and have recently started feeding out of the viv. our frogs are kept on eco earth because that loose moss cp they sell in reptile shops can cause the same problem. we are planning on getting geckos and im so glad this has been shared, i wasnt going to use bark chippings but i had thought about calci sand, im thinking it may end up being papertowels or lino for them

i missed this thread first time round..

goodness...

im so glad i opted for lino and eco earth.. chippings worry the life out of me.. i love the LOOK of them but its not worth the risk is it>
