Default Impaction....(warning graphic images)

Many people think it isnt a great issue, and it happens to so and so's friend... blah blah...

well this has shocked me, i have seen xrays of leos, who have been impacted. and that was awful, but this is much worse...

ok its a uroplatus, and not everyone has one, but they are like everything else, ''stupid'' , they will eat substrate...like leos, cresties, i have seen ours do it and now they are all on paper, no point in risking it, and i know it doesnt look natural... but being in my house, in my reptile room, isnt natural..

anyway. this is taken from another forum, and i know we arent allowed to post things from other forums, but i think this would help others...

WARNING, THIS CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES..

This person brought this STUNNING uroplatus, and 7 months later died, from impaction (of wood chips) which he had never used... the previous owner did.....when it died, he did a post mortum on it, and this is what he found....

some of you may of seeen this, sorry if you have!

I don't know much about lizards, but I think anyone can imagine how much pain that animal was in...

7 month later!
you see, the effects arnt instant, so that should refrain people from buying lizards which are kept on loose substrates.
