Default Argus went to vets today

Well as the heading says i had to go to the vets with my male Argus as for the last week he has been
very lathargic
Off his food
Not crapping
And laying in the viv for 11 hours a day with his eyes closed
So we go in to see the vet and shes got the sort of gloves that the cops use for a rectal search. So after making her a little wiser to the benefits of wearing a pair of slightly thicker gloves off she went with her examination.Apart from some hissing he was amazingly well behaved until she decided to sneak round the back of him and subject the poor to some colonic irigation i swear if i could speak Argus he hissed somthing along the lines of if you f*****g utter a word of this when we get back to the viv room i'll open you up.To add insult to injury she then stuck him with the antibiotic injection.Mate he wearnt happy he decided that in return he would eat the gauntlet that the nurse was holding his neck with, it then took us 45mins to get his mouth open although she did teach me a new trick if yo want any monitor to let go of somthing place fore finger and thumb over the eyes and assert a little preasure apparently there are blood vesels behind the eyes that release a chemical which without going to far into it causes any monitor to release a bite.
Footnote:-Dont go and find your closes supplier of croc monitors and shove your hand in its mouth and then say to the shop owner "No its really ok tick says" cause i aint paying for ya to get fingers sown back on

Also a comment i did find quite amussing was as i left with him the nurse who was new to it all says to me thank god for beardies and leopard gheckos
Since he got home he picked up a little
