Default Meal worms

Are they OK for a bearded Dragon ?

yup if they go off there greens you can also put in a few mealworms to get them back on it aswell

actually most bearded dragon breeders would advise against meal worms as there is far too much chittin in there shells and therefore are hard to digest. And may not b digested at all thus being a very empty meal, use morio worms instead

I give him wax worm must of the time, but my mum got his food and got meal worms instead.

personally id chuck them there no good really, do you mean you feed waxies as a staple? because you realy shouldnt do that they are pure fat.

Mealies are ok for BD's but morios are better less chitin (sp?). Waxies shud be fed sparingly because they are high in fat.

yeh mealies are ok occasionally, as are waxworms. i give my BD mealies and waxies as a treat and use crickets as a staple (aswel as veggies)

well like i said personally I would never give mealies to my dragons there virtually no nutrition to them and they dont always get fully digested so whats the point?

Main food is locus and wax worms guess wax worms are off the list now, did think he was a bit fat.
He picky about veg and things i think it got something to do with it not moving.
did also try a frozen pinkie the other day and he just looked at it, I'm thinking he likes food on the move ?

well like i said if they will only eat food on the move put a few mealies in the veg and it will look to the beardie like the veg is movin a bit (it works)
