Default i have a new pet!..well, sort of...

several days ago i brought home an eastern fence lizard that i had caught just to scan on my computer and show you guys...it was a baby and i had broken off part of it's tail when catching it.... after scanning it i let it go on my back porch steps believeing that i'd never see it again.. a couple days ago my brother said he saw a little lizard hanging around my steps... i told him that the one that i caught i let go there...then he said it had a broken tail...i knew that it was the same one... yesterday i went out several times and saw it hanging around the steps and on the walkway. today it's been scurrying about everytime that i go out there. i've sat there having a smoke a few times and it's been there and not paying any attention to me... just chasing ants and soaking up the sun. i figured that it would be going along it's way after a day or two but it's still there!..i believe that it has taken up residence on my back porch...i have other lizards there...5-lined skinks but no fence lizards. now everytime i go out i look for him and watch him go about his activities....it's really cool...it's the very same lizard... this years hatch. i just thought that i'd share this with you guys and keep you updated. now i'm going to catch a bunch more and see if i could get a colony started.... if i had a camera i would take a pic... here's the scan of him that i had taken earlier this week:

i just thought it was neat!
