Default Equal ops

Hi,
need to have a bit of a rant about people making on comments on situations they know nothing about:
I recently had my 2 beardies up on here for sale. I had to sell one of them cos i'd found out that I had 2 boys and didn't want either of them to get hurt in the long run. I advertised that I had 2 boys, one of which had a missing foot and a short tail (NOT due to me keeping 2 boys together I bought like that when he was a baby). I then had 2 ignorant bass comment on the fact that 1 of them was missing some limbs. If they knew ANYTHING about BDs they would know that this frequently happens when they are little because they are either underfed or are trampled on by their brothers and sisters. These 2 waers had no interest in buying my BD and just posted their comments to ps me off! I have ended up keeping my 'Stumpy' who I love dearly. I just wish people would put a bit more thought into the messages they write on this site as they had no idea what the situation was and i feel offended that they assumed i was a bad reptile keeper. Can't believe the prejudice towards my slightly debilitated beardie - thought people on here would have more respect.
PHEW - I'M DONE!

Me too. It happens way too often for my liking. Just got to try and not let them get to you, easier said than done though.
I am scared to help people out with advice etc because I am so worried people will come down on me and say I dont know what I'm talking about. Why cant people just be nice?

Was it mentioned in the ad how the dragon lost its foot? Just wondering lol I accept that things like this can happen as babies and that but I can see why they asked if you didn't state in the advert how it happened

Yeah it's bad, was just reading another thread hijacked by wankers a minute ago. some of the people on here don't realise that this is the place that people who love and care about reptiles come to discuss reptile related things with like minded people. The keepers who neglect their animals aren't the types of people who are so mad about reptiles that they spend all day chating about them on a forum.

And if I was trying to sell something and these wankers put their bit in I'd be well pissed off. Wait till they're selling an animal on here and do the same to them, see how they like it.

I don't agree at all. I don't think u would just jump to the conclusion that one had bitten off the others foot and if u would i think thats really sad. Besides I wasn't looking for people's opinions on my beardie i wanted a new GOOD home for one of my beloved boys.

No but you would have possible scenario's running through your head. You can't say that if you saw a gecko for sale with half its tail missing you wouldn't wonder why. If you told them the way it happened then they should have accepted that.

There's always somebody judgeing on here.I thought this site was about our love of reptiles, not just to be able to get arise on bagging someone. All good that someone on here time to time need help,I being one of them.People need advise not to be sl off.
And i agree a lot of reptiles can come onlng with limbs alreay missing,I was looking at another Beardie yesterday as i've always wanted a phase he was abeautiful red phase and his tailed was nipped, the only thing that stopped me buying it was not having a viv for him,so when my stack is built and he's still there i'll buy him tail or no tail.

I think ur missing the point sarah-jayne. I wasn't on here asking people what they thought about my beardie with a missing foot. I was trying to sell. If u have thoughts about why his foot is missing i wouldn't mind answering people's questions but i don't understand why people add comments just for the hell of it, just to be unkind. Thats not what this place is for. They had no interest in my thread they were just being waners!
