Default Pet shop selling regen: tail leo as a stumpy tail leo!

Was in a well known rep shop yesterday, and they had a leo with a regenerated tail and on the price tag it said "Leopard Gecko - £xx.xx, 'Stumpy Tail'" Can't remember how much it was, but it seems as though they were trying to cash in on the fact it has a regenerated tail. It didn't even look likw a tail, it was a ball!!!

Yes I am aware they don't grow back as before. So you're saying its a good thing that a juvenile gecko has lost its tail then?

you didnt say it was a juvi and plus again whats the problem? quite easy to drop a tail,as long as one grows back..it shows the animal is fine

Not necessarily a good thing but it could have happened in a variety of ways - doesn't mean bad treatment or such

It is a bad description - they should explain properly but shops often don't.

They do loose tails its just a thing that can happen, the leo will be fine and normal just have a different looking tail as it grows back. I doubt they are trying to cash in on the fact its lost its tail but just informing anyone who will buy it that it has been lost, a regenerated tail is sometimes called a stumpy tail.

they are stating on the price tag that the til is re-gen, ok, they are not using correct terminology but the majority of general public are not particularly clued up so they are phrasing it in "user friendly" wording. I dont think for one moment that they were trying to "cash in" how is this a selling point? re-gen tails are ugly. I feel they were merely being upfront about the fact that their gecko was imperfect.
