personally id call it a chevron.. others wil call it a flame i think ... but hey who knows really... its pretty

youd be corect using both terms as far as im aware as it depends on what website or breeder you ask

Morph Guide- Explained and Illustrated - Page 2 - The Pangea Forums - Crested Geckos & More

read this thread on the pangea forums

flame and chevron are argued over all the time

hi there beech chippings are particularly risky with cresties

for one they hold no humidity so really as a substrate they dont work well.. another reason is they are the perfect size for cresties to eat.. then get impacted which isnt good..

a third reason would probably be that cresties have VERY messy poo... so you may not always see it buried in the chips.. but id say thats the least reason to change

eco earth packed down tight with your hands.. is a great substrate for humidity.. it keeps their viv humid and also you can just lift poo off it.. also if the cresties do injest it accidentally it wont harm them.. bark chips have a high impaction risk for smaller lizards.. if u google for impaction pics u wil see grpahical evidence.. not for the faint hearted though

also he could do with 3 or 4 times the amount oif branches.. cresties really thrive with LOADS of plants and branches to jump and climb on.. any space not filled higher up in a crestie viv is a bit wasted.. your tenk looks really immaculate and wel thought out.. just a wee change of substrate onto something safer for peace of mind and add a while bunch more plants in and it will be a palace..

IM loving the creams on your wee guy

good luck xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

lol recently done this before reading the thread lmao! looked on google and well ALL reps are off bark lmao even though i dont feed them in the viv it still scares me, would recomend looking at the nasty pics as it shows how bad it could be

had mine on orchid bark crestys, and water dragons, kept saying i will take them off it but didnt! but looking at this today kicked the gear going! lol

looks so much better though!

but going to keep my snake on aspen as she likes to burry under it and snuggle up, also she dont get fed in there atall
