Question Silicon Fumes

I'll be changing my Leo's decor in the next couple of weeks, adding some stacked slate rocks to create hides and a natural climbing/basking area. To be safe I'll have to use dabs of silicon to stick some of the stones together. How long should I leave the silicon to dry/stop fuming before adding the Leos?

I use a gun to apply aquaseal and then have a fan blasting in the room for a day to get the air moving about and it setting.

I left it on for 2 days when I did my massive viv for the Bosc. Stinks like salt and vinegar crisps.

Thats because the ascitic acid in the silicone, which is what evolves out to result in 'cured' silicone is also present in vinager... or to the best of my knowledge it is now...

That's kinda what I was thinking. We use a bit of something like it occasional;y for my job and I was having this talk with someone in the workshop a while back.

Strong stuff though.

oh certainly, think about how your nose feels if you get a strong whiff of vinager up it, now translate that to a stronger form and reduce your size by a factor of about 1,000 and then take a big old whiff, sure it can't be pleasent now!!
