Default Thermostat Help

Im looking to buy a stat for my crestie viv as the temps seem to be dropping more and more its going as low as 17.3 now.

I have a 15W red bulb I would like to hook up to a stat so it comes on when temps get below 18 just to keep things ok for the crestie.

Could anyone suggest a suitable stat for this please?

Thank you

A dimmer stat is the only one suitable for a bulb

Our flat isn't too cold even in the night, we have the heating on till we go to bed practically so it's warm then and in the morning the room is still bareable even in winter to walk around with a T-Shirt and just feel slightly cold. I was just worried if our cresties needed a bulb after this post or not. :S

What temps are you getting? If you know this, then you'll know if they need extra heating

I have been advised they can take a drop in temp to 15 for a short perdoid of time.

But I would rather have it closer to 18 during the night.

This is why im considering doing this, I just moved into a new house and the double glazing is pretty old doesnt seem to keep the heat in too well.

Thanks for all the replys+

Well i bought some thermo's on Monday for them, but we have a semi-complicated living arrangement atm. Basically i work in Yorkshire till mid Nov and my OH (With all the reps) live in london and i had to leave before she put them in...so i dont know what there temps are atm. What temp should it be around for them to feel comfy?
