I recon here is about the right place to ask.
How big do water monitors "really" get. I've been told anything from 5ft to 9ft recently, and wanted to gague how big is realistic.
Also how fast do they get to that sort of size?

Hiya Rain
The biggest Water Monitor on here is an Asain kept by Monitor Mad, Asians are also up there with being one of the heaviest, She is a huge gorgeous Girly Nigh on 6ft at the mo, she makes Steve look small. Have a gander in his albums.

depending on your camera memory type u could get a card reader
(my OH always forgets where he's put it if i let him put away the camera lead so its kind of handy his laptop has a built in card reader)

you'll probably find it eventually, probably as soon as you not looking for it and trying to find something else thats usually the way of things

loving everyones pics as always

MM is your male Mangrove getting any braver yet?
In general do you find sometimes females are braver and more curious than males or is it just generally size related (they get braver as they get bigger)? (i'm just curious)

Cheers,
Would you say 6ft is a fair size to expect, or bigger/smaller?
We decided on a peach throat in the end, but I'd love a water monitor, just dont think I could handle something so big....

Well I'm not an expert on the Salvators but I guess it takes them at least a few years to hit 6ft. We have had one in at where I work that was still about 2ft and was at least a year old
