i own a red tegu but i have heard the black and whites are easier to tame and tamer in the end, heard verying veiws on final size but i dont beleive there to be a big difference, the black and white may get bigger..
also the final size will depend on gender, if you want a smaller one then go for female,
if anyone knows better please correct me

well guess ill go for a red then. Looking for more of a display animal and i prefer the reds to the black and whites. Now all i have to do is find one set up a mid size viv suitable for a tegu. Any good books out there on tegus as struggling to find any?
