Hey all

Had the Acanthurus since Saturday, and they've settled in pretty well! Eating, basking great.

They're seven months old, I feed them twice a day. In the evening I dust the crickets with supplement.

Is this too much/not enough food/sup? And how old will they be before I can sex them?

When I build my roughneck viv I planned to have a big water bowl as a built in feature much like they do in zoos and whatnot. I'm planning to use the biggest size of RUB as the water bowl and rather than have to bucket the water out I would have a drain attached to a pipe beneath coming right out the side of the viv, where a hose can be attatched or a bucket shoved under the pipe for easy draining.

The water itself would be heated and filtered anyway as to not need changing more than once or twice a week... and have the filter relay the water to the top of a sloping waterfall which pumps back into the pool.

Awesome idea. Not sure it's practical tho
