Hi guys have been reading this thread since it has started. Would like to say a big thanks for all the pics and info. I have been looking into getting a tegu but my locale rep shop had a bosc in about 9 weeks ago. So i thought that i would start with one of them. After reading alot on here decided to go for the hands of approach and it has payed of very quickly. She will now stay out of her hides for most of the day even when there is alot of traffic walking past her viv. Also managed to get a 5 min stroke in before i got hissed at and she walked off. Have been hand feeding for the last 2 weeks but have started to sound train her so when i go in with food i make a certain noise. So far have managed to keep all my fingers Lol. This is mozza I'm guessing at female due to head shape and when she popped although her bit stuck out i couldn't see the hermipenes.

Although i have reasearched all that i could in regards to the size she will grow, the space required, and the food needed but i don't think anything will prepare you for the truth. She has easily grown 6 inches since she isn't on a pet shop diet. Eat 6 tubs of large locust a week some prawns or fresh fish a couple of times a week. A small mouse every 2 weeks or so. But worth every penny. I have never had so much pleasure from keeping a reptile. Everyday has a different reward for building her trust. Any wau thanks for listening to my waffle and will get some better pics soon. Cheers guys.

Intelligence is not only a measure of what one already knows, but rather also of what one is capable of learning. So let's stop judging but rather try and teach or pass on our knowledge to those willing to learn, for when we die it might die with us.

Nice bosc and it is very rewarding to hear of some-one taking the time to read up and digest the relative information regarding what species they would like to keep and raise successfully and hello from myself as well
