Just thought I'd butt in and say that I've quite warmed to the idea of a Columbian Tegu <3

I've heard they're a bit smaller, and a tad less aggressive than the Argentinian - is this true?
Also, what do you think the risk of having a Tegu and a baby in the house is? Or would that just come down to the way it was raised?

Thanks

x

columbian tegs are like the niles of the tegu world, aggressive in a big way. they can be calmed down to tolerate but this is very hit and miss more so in this species. their natuer is fearfull and defensive.
cracking lizard to keep and watch though

Koko has a new 5ft x 2ft vivarium

My new 5ft vivs are here!

He'll have to go without UV for a few days as I had to get a new started unit to power his bulb. Will fit that asap and I have a large exo terra cave coming for him. Then he's all sorted

Long time no lurking in the monitor & tegu forum but as today I'm the proud owner of a female savannah monitor
Couldn't resist that beauty.

I was wondering if some of you have some must-reads in your favorites that you can link me?
Thanks
