I have some GALS on thier way to me, but they should have been delivered before 1pm on friday, no card or anything so looks like my local crap RM service has struck again, so they are probably sat in the delivery office, just hope they survive, ill be down there tomorrow morning, if they are there im gonna kick off big time.

Im sick of royal mail here, I was sat in the front room one morning and heard the letter box go, got to the door to find a 'while you were out card' with the time 8am on it, this was at 11am, and by the time I had opened the door so ask why they had not knocked they were half way down the street and im on the third floor of a block of flats, its like they posted it and ran away

Anyway enough of my rant about RM and my likely to be dead snails lol

Sod locusts, go for roaches lol, much easier to breed and better for the animals anyway

would it be best to go for a baby tegu, or one thats 2-3 years old? get a 2yo old with viv cheap, but thinking that it may not get used to us, and get stroppy, and i dont want to make the mistake of getting it coz its cheap, then having a peed off 3ft tegu

Even a young mid to large lizard can be an uknown quantity.

I've seen rehomed Boscs and Tegus that have been adults that have come around well to their new keepers. It's all about gaining the creatures trust in the first instance and this can vary from lizard to lizard. Either way it can be a lottery of sorts. I would recommend "meeting" any potential newcomer into your home to see how you feel about it. Go with your gut.

My v. first bosc was a right sod when i first got him that was around 8/9 months ago now, hes now tame as a kitten and an absolute pleasure to own... So any older bosc/tegu has the potential to tame down just takes patience and hardwork.

i'd say u have to put as much work in with baby's as u would an unknown adult i have both and the bubba's arent always as cute and friendly as they look and they can still fit up behind the radiator which is always fun
