no its not bad, Its a constant supply of food aswell which renews its self (well depending on how many monitors and tegs u have lol)

More than likely ....the cooler the climate the darker they get as dark colors draw heat better..By the way its nice to see people like your self being sensible and feeding there Tegus out of there vivs and taking the risk of impaction away

lol just a couple..... 70 quids worth of live food a week

hence the home grown reasearch!!!!

and thats without the chicken steak and pinkies lol

So before I was just guessing my tegu's length... I pulled out the tape measure tonight and it's official! Siggy's exactly two and a half feet long!!!
Yay!!!

He's...10months old.

Was having a look at Midnight our tegu last night, and was thinking he's rather small for his age? We've had him a year now and the guy we brought him said he had him for about a year which would make him 2+... but he's still so small. What sort of size should I expect from a 2-3 year old tegu?

Growth rate in Tegus depends on there diet and more importantly weather they hibernated or not..Tegus that have hibernated when young tend to be much smaller due to them not eating through the winter months..my 12month old female is around the 2ft mark but I have seen some the same age at 3ft

The one im getting for example is 3 foot and hasnt been hibernated.
