IF you buy off Steve you wont have a problem. He used to be GILLWORTH REPTILE BREEDERS and he is bloody good.

Totally agree with that, dimond geezer Steve.
Did me a great discount when I purchased a pair of Blue Tongue Skinks, made me & the OH a cuppa as soon as we walked in the shop.
The shop is fantastic greatly organised; great variety and the staff are sound.
Just a pitty there so far away from me.

But I feed mine on fruit & veg in their viv (grapes well loved) (nothing citrus), mario worms, locusts, Pachnoda's, meats, also eggs, and now going to be give snails.
I feed all live foods out of their own environment, and put the fruit & veg in whilst they are out.
You could be putting yourself a tad at risk by feeding from your hand, as evrytime they see your hand they would associate it with food (IMO), have you seen the teeth on a Tegu.
Do you feed whole grapes, how many at a time and red or green does it matter ?

Thanks and my Tegu was shedding before I put the pic's & some video's too on here so when its finished I will add more pic's and I had 2 decapitated weaner Rats last night...funny story, my Tegu loved them.

Default Grapes

No does not matter mate mine eats both, I cut mine in half, I also tried them on prawns, and sprats, ate them, & refused them. I think they will pretty much eat anything. I have read an article that they will even eat meal left overs, pizza, pies, bread etc, but I would use them.

- I take it this means you'll be getting more than one in the future?

To be honest mate it depends on a lot my space as it stands is now limited what with my loft basically halfed for the bosc breeding group i have planned and a pair of WTS... my only options after that are a big shed which would potentially house tegus or argus monitors more likely argus monitors as they are my white whale of the monitor world absolutely love them but in no way shape or form can i possibly give them the kind of space i feel they need... as in not the standard 8 by 4 by 4.

That be said im trying to wrangle some more cash out of my OH for a 3' female tegu... one of my contacts is selling.

So the tegu is proberly going to be my bedroom big lizard.
