i know some shops do ask alot of questions but most are just wanting to get rid off them its a shame as there wouldnt be so many unwanted ones out there if they all did it

Hi! My name's Savariano the Sav - and this is me

Look at my long tongue!!

Pics of my home when it was first done - cool end

Hot end - it was all nice and clean and new before I got in it!

In the fall I get leaves to play in!

I'm not really a lap-lizard and I'll tail-whip anyone who says otherwise!

My owner started off trying to to "tame" me but then left me alone - it worked better for both of us as we both ended up being less stressed.

It shocks me that in my opinion there is very little information regarding the behaviours of these animals in the wild. With a bit of digging you can find out certain bits of information but nowhere near as much as other species of reptiles. I'd like to think I have at least a brief natural history of the animals I own and would never buy one without doing thorough research before hand. We get so caught up in the 'taming' or 'enclosure' details that people tend to not actually think about the animal itself, or what it needs. I've been in many retail outlets that sell Bosc's with not a care sheet in sight, book to buy or staff that are interested in the animals welfare. And don't even get me started on the price of these animals.

I definatley think that the way forward is education and forums are at the for-front of providing newcomers with experienced knowledge.
