lights arent too good as they are basking

are monitors more attacted by lights, like a beardie liks hot and bright light to bask under, or can the seek the heat no matter what source it is?

good question...I have a viv which has a ceramic in and a uvb no light as such!! and the monitor in there finds the heat fine.

When the light go out at night time my big water monitor snuggles under the heat tube guard so i would say yes also nocturnal lizards/snakes do this on tarmac roads at night in the warmer countries
