He is being a fussy feeder due to be kept on a poor diet. Try him on some scrambled egg, and also raw egg over other food stuffs. Most care sheets state can be fed of high quality cat food, but I wont use it either.
Also try him of some fishy stuffs, prawns. sprats etc.
Most Tegs will take readily take fruit & veg until they are ready to do so.

Sorry forgot to add.
My Red is a picky feeder as he was fed on rats, Rat hair is known to cause impaction in Tegs to the the hair being much coarser than mice

thank...didnt think i had my temps wrong. But always good to check. As for food,it may sound cruel, but i aint feeding him nothing until he will eat fruit and veg, i will also try him on smaller locusts....and more of a correct healthier diet. I of course wont let him come to harm, it took me an hour to entice him to eat a strawberry, he licked it for 45minutes before even attempting to bite it, and then when he did bite it
it was if he had never tasted it before...

am i not right in thinking that fruit and veg generaly only makes up around 20-30% of Tegus diet? i have been feeding mine on that ratio anyway so far...so far she has had a couple of mice, some eggs, dubia roaches...turkey mince and some fruit (hidden in the mince as described in prev post) all of course topped with Nutrobal (except the mice)...does this sound a pretty good ratio of feeding?...i may be wrong hence me asking, as i really want to make sure i am feeding a good mixed diet of correct proportions regarding fruits and meat....only had her a week so would rather get it right now

Some do start early on fruit, bt some wont touch until adult,

Hiya Ian
No feeding issues there mate sounds ok, Most of mine will only take fruit when they want it. I do give them all types of meat, fish, rodents, locusts. snails. they do get offered fruits such as papaya. mango, kiwi, fig, etc, but they are none to interested in it

Thanks mate...just wanted to be sure i was getting things right, i will add some fish and also some innards such as heart and kidneys etc....just a case of sourcing somewhere to get hold of them as we have only just moved to the area 3 weeks ago, she is doing fantastic by the way! was sat on my lap earlier enjoying getting stroked etc and going to sleep lol....i am so taken with her! i want the other half to let me have her in the dining room...i could do a HUGE build for her in here...but she says no mind you, she will probably be better off in the herp room anyway as she can have pretty much free roam of it once adult.

Hiy Ian
ARe you using chick as well,
My big male will woolf down chick, usually I dont give one food source, I usually mix the bowl, such as chick & scrambled egg, mince & spratt etc,
If they leave anything in the bowl, the next day they dont get fed,
