Hiya Matey
All depends how circumstances,
1. Is it in adulthood or a young stroppy one.
2. Is it a White throat or a Black throat

I would take it regardless, and work with him/her, I dont mind getting bitten & scratched (my hands & arms are always a mess).
But this would have to be a decision you will need to decide on, you can have a look but dont touch monitor, as long as he/she is correctly maintained so to speak.

It's a White throat, currently around 1meter in length, don't know the age though.

I know my tegu was a handfull when i got him.
The guy i bought it off had tunred all the heat to him prior to me getting there so he was calm and wanted a hug to warm up. (i only figured this out later)

Once he was home with us and the heat was on, he was charging the glass, jumping around, trying to bite hands and what not.

Dont get me wrong he had warned me previously he was a bit uprodictable at times, but he hadn't gone into that much detail.

Do you know the W/T full story.... ie is it CB/WC etc, whats its current setup/viv like, what its diet, where is it fed?

I feel that these factors play a great deal to an animals behaviour, its like if we get locked in a small room all day and fed fast food-we'd be hyper then eventually crash.

If your dedicated to him, and get a good setup and schedule for him then your doing as best YOU can. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for HIM to make his mind up if he'll trust you.

Meet larry he was abit of a pain in the backside to say the least (hey chuckwalla)very nervous, scared and would do anything to defend himself, but now with the right approach, time and alot of patience hes a big softy, nearly puppy dog,and only taken a few weeks, the bigest key is let him settle and start slowly but persistance.

And here he is now

likes his back scratched and does mind now being touched

Default my Norma

well this is Norma my beautiful bosc, her story is that my mate rescued her of some people that was not caring for her correctly or feeding her the right amount of food which inturn lost a lot of weight and then stoped eating altogether, my mate got her eating again after hand feeding her for a few weeks at this time i was on the look out for a baby bosc then i herd my mate had one but not a baby so i though i would go and look anyway well when i got there seen her i fell straight in love with her. Her temper is not to bad still hissy and would bite me if given the chance lol she is a little under weight but is happily eating again now and putting it back on she loves her locusts and has had a mouse or 2 and have given her a chick i no these are only for treats but as she need a bit of weight putting back on i don't think it a bad thing at the moment well i hope you like her cuz i love her to bits

Hiya mate she is awesome, and will be a corker when back to a fit & healthy bosc, Ox heart is good for putting weight back on quickly.
