I want to breed my oldest Tegs, do they have to be split for a while, or just cooled. Why cant all breeding be as easy as Beardies.

cause then it would be boring

They have to be cooled for a while "midnightworrier" preped his to breed and i think it was "lobley" who got them off him and the female laid for lobley (im sure it was lobley but i could be wrong)

Hiya Bud
Yes it was Lobley, but such as shame as they were all still born, perfectly formed as well. And the female turned mental afterwards, and started attacking, the other Tegs and had to be split up. Lobely has sincr rehomed her. She was a corker as well as you know

Hmmmm well I haven’t had a very good evening

Was having my meal and heard some noise coming from upstairs, went to investigate and my mangroves were having a full on fight. Really having a go at each other. So now the male is in a spare viv til they calm down. Went in to check on them an hour later and they were still both puffing there necks and tails ready

Checked on the female and found this

I think she may have got so worked up over it she losing her eggs
I think its an egg anyway, never seen it before
Not sure what caused them to fight the way they were they usually get on him and seem to enjoy each others company

Hiya chuck sorry to hear you have had to split them up for now.
Doesnt look like an egg to me, I may be wrong tho, It looks like it has fur/fluff at one end.

It looks almost like she has eaten one of her egg's and it's gone through the whole digestion process , my water monitor ate a few of her's and they looked kind of similar , have a dig around her viv and see if she has hidden/buried any

Thanks, I did look to see if I could see any more when I found this, but couldn't see anything. She is still really worked up about it at the moment, so I'm going to leave her for tonight. They both have a few scratches on there necks but nothing that looks serious luckly.
Not sure what started them off, even if they find the same locust/ roach they never fight just pull til it splits
