My Argus never seems to sleep, he is always running, jumping about, tripoding, from morning till bed time, I am up at 05:00 and most mornings he is out breviting about. Deffinatley the most active I have so far, and its great at his feed time, he wil run, and jump to get his gums around his grub, he tries for another mouse whilst he is still swallowing the first.

Maybe she ate a bit and couldn't digest it properly

I thought it looked like the bulb of a plant but didn't want to sound like a mong! Glad it wasn't an egg mate.

Haha, sounds brill. I've only ever seen 1 pic of an argus tripoding! was only a baby and so cute. At the mo I don't have a clue what my next monitor will be. I've been waiting nearly a year like i said earlier for a water and have wanted an argus a B+W Tegu for a while. I'll patiently wait for 2010 to roll around. See what comes along! Can't wait to post on here with the words you lot seem to post every 5 mins! 'My new monitor is here!!!' lol

Yep but waters are in a class of there own and definatly the heaviest and largest in overall mass of any captive monitors (excluding komodo's) or wild ones come to that and without a doubt the best of all

I get excited just thinking about the day I bring a cute little water monitor home. Will wait a while yet because of the size they get to. Thought black throats were bulkier but looking at your large female she's in a league of her own!

Both my blackthroat and water monitor are the same leangth nearly with my blackthroat around 5" or 6" longer but the water is heavier by far (and friendlier)
