quick question to the Tegu people....do your argentine B&W`s make beds?...this sounds rediculous...but i sat there for over an hour tonight watching my girl dragging all her fake plants etc to her hide...then getting in the hide and pulling them in with her front feet, then she couldnt get any more in as she was in the way...so THEN she would go out of her hide, under the plants she dragged to the hide entrance...and pushed the plants in there with her head and front legs to make herself a bed!!...i have never seen this kind of behaviour in any lizard myself, and although it may seem nothing to some people, i found it amazing that she was actually thinking ahead and problem solving etc, deffinately made me see a higher amount of intelligence than i thought they had.

interesting....i call mine her, but at (supposedly)6-8 months old early to be sure, and she wouldn`t be displaying nesting behaviour so young would she?....maybe she is a she and is just kind of "practicing" for when she is big/old enough to breed/lay?...all very interesting stuff!
