Default newb question - beardies and squash

I've seen that numerous people feed their beardies butternut squash, and the like - but do you give it to them raw or cook it? and if you cook it, how is it cooked?

not cooked grated

to be honest my beardie doesnt eat butternut squash

he much prefers collard greens.. curly kale and blueberries

Thanks so much for the info, just chopped some up, and they are eating it like there is no tomorrow, I'm guessing it's a hit!!
