how many waxworm do you feed to a beardie

very few, they are very fatty. only feed as a treat every now and then.

None - he gets plenty of other nutritional live food & veg, he doesn't need extra sweeties!

Heroin is a bit of a strong reference - I'd say more along the lines of chocolate/junk food!

I have been feeding quite a few to my underweight dragon to help her put on a bit of weight is this the wrong thing to do then? She also gets all the normal food- green crix locust a few mealies all dusted

Wax worms should only be fed as treats whether the lizard is well or not.

It's probably worse giving it wax worms as they are just full of fat and rather than bulking your beardie up, they're more likely to be putting fat on her organs rather than filling her muscles.

It's thought that beardies can't digest meal worms as they have hard shells that beardies can become impacted from.

How old is your beardie and what are her basking, hot & cool temps?
